Property Tax Rate Reduction

It is my goal to reduce our city property taxes in real dollars. Over the last 2.5 years I’ve learned how to approach this topic with council and staff. If I earn your vote for another three years this will continue to be a focus of mine. We have to not only reduce the tax rate, but reduce it enough to deal with the increasing property values so you see a real dollar reduction in the city property taxes that you pay.
